On January 17, 2012, Jack Hoogendyk announced his Candidacy for the Michigan 6th District US Congressional seat. Jack is a solid Conservative Republican Candidate who has a strong history of keeping Government small and always voting AGAINST Tax increases!
Jack is running against Fred Upton, the sitting Congressman who is a career politician and has been in office for 25 years!
He claims he is a conservative like us, but During his 25 years in Congress, Upton has repeatedly supported liberal policiestat have led to the ballooning size of government, trillions in new debt, billions in wasteful government spending, and opened the door to Obamacare.
Is that the kind of “conservative” leadership we need in Washington today?
It would be impossible for any real, true conservative to support the Obama Administration’s big spending, big government, job-killing agenda – but that’s exactly what Fred Upton has done.
Upton voted FOR Obama’s budget that increased spending by $32 billion and funded over 9,000 earmarks.
Upton voted FOR the Wall Street bailout, the mortgage industry bailout, and the government takeover
of General Motors.
Upton even helped spearhead the “Cash for Clunkers” program that cost taxpayers $24,000
for every car sold.
